GOD’S PURPOSES FOR CHILDREN
Matthew 18:10
- Children are valued in the heavenly kingdom.
Jeremiah 1:4, 5, Psalm 139:15, 16
- Children are created and known by God, and ordained by Him to fulfill divine purpose.
Romans 3:23
- Children are born as sinners.
Matthew 18:6
- Children can believe in Jesus Christ, which is the prerequisite for salvation.
Mark 16:15
- Because children are sinners and can believe in Jesus Christ as Savior, we are to actively evangelize lost children.
Acts 2:6, 39; Galatians 5:22, 23; I Corinthians 12:7
- Children can be baptized in the Holy Spirit, experience the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and exercise the gifts given by the Holy Spirit for service.
Ephesians 4:12, 13
- Because Christian children are saints, the local church is responsible along with parents for their growing maturity in Christ.

- Children can be actively involved in ministry and service.
